Phantom Car

(A vehicle born of the artistic mind, concpet and builder)

PHANTOM CARS

As early as the early 80s, Doug and I both had a vision of doing a hotrod of a 1934 woodie. Because up to this point, no one had ever done a woodie from a car of this kind or era.

As Doug explained it to me, I created a crude rendering. From there we took idea to our very good friend, Thom Taylor. Thom is famous in the automovie world for his auto designs. His background includes training at the world-famous Art Center in Pasadena, California.

Thom's art can be found in all the major automotive magazines. Thom took my crude rending of Hotwood to a full rending shown below. We built the car from his excellent rendering. It was so detailed. He knows what can and cannot be done from an automotive/artistic standpoint.

About Thom Taylor: Thom is famous in the automovie world for his designs. His background includes training at the world-famous Art Center in Pasadena, California. Thom's art can be found in all the major automotive magazines.
